08/04/2008 11:20 AM
In order to give the website a better focus, we are phasing out the less popular areas of the site, including the high definition and digital video recorder areas and forums. This will leave the site focused on digital satellite television and satellite radio.

Latest Highlights

Last Comic Standing 8:00 pm  ET

Are we having fun yet? The votes are in, and tonight the winner of this talent contest for stand-up comedians is crowned. The victor gets $250,000, a talent contract with NBC, a new vehicle and a starring appearance in a Las Vegas show. In addition to the announcement of the winner, the season finale includes performances by Jon Lovitz and last year's winner, Jon Reep. Gilbert Gottfried, Joel McHale, and Penn & Teller also stop by.

Ugly Betty 8:00 pm  ET

Does it smell funny in here, or is it just you? In "Odor in the Court," Betty's (America Ferrera) new perfume -- a Fey Sommers creation -- is having some strange side effects. As Claire (Judith Light) takes the stand in Fey's murder trial, Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) continues on her mission to become a Meade at any price.

Soundstage 10:00 pm  ET

Oh, my God! They booked Kenny! Country music star Kenny Chesney is the featured performer for this new episode, delivering such crowd pleasers as "Beer in Mexico" and "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" along with quieter fare including "Better as a Memory" and "Back Where I Came From." Also on the set list are "Summertime," "When the Sun Goes Down," "Young" and "Big Star."

Camille 8:00 pm  ET

When people say they don't make movies like they used to, this is the kind of movie they're talking about: George Cukor's lavish 1936 adaptation of the literary tear-jerker about a fatally ill Paris courtesan who falls for a callow young nobleman. Greta Garbo gives what may be the single best performance of her singular career, a portrayal that is heartbreaking yet unsentimental -- and one that feels as if it was put on film just last week.

Smallville 8:00 pm  ET

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's not enough! In this episode, Clark (Tom Welling) gets flying lessons from Kara (Laura Vandervoort) in hopes of having an advantage over Brainiac (James Marsters). But the B-man still holds all the cards, and the results are deadly for one person close to Clark. Kristin Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum also star in "Veritas."

So You Think You Can Dance 8:00 pm  ET

The votes are in, and tonight we learn which contestant becomes America's new favorite dancer, joining season one winner Nick Lazzarini, season two champ Benji Schwimmer and season three victor Sabra Johnson. Of course, the judges will have one last chance to critique the finalists before the winner is crowned. Cat Deeley hosts the festivities.

Slow Burn 8:25 pm  ET

Maybe it's because our attention spans have shrunk since 1950; maybe it's because very few directors can touch Akira Kurosawa. In any event, the "Rashomon" formula -- in which different characters relate different versions of the same event -- fails more than it succeeds. Case in point: this forgettable 2007 crime drama. Its central event is the discovery of a body in the bed of an assistant D.A. (Jolene Blalock) who may or may not have killed him in self-defense -- depending on whose version of the story you believe. Her boss (Ray Liotta) tries to sort them all out and gets totally confused. You'll feel his pain.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 9:00 pm  ET

Keppler is in the spotlight in this episode -- actually, he wants to remain well out of it. A police officer and prostitute die in a hotel room, and Keppler (Liev Schreiber) knows the guy who found the bodies. But he wants to remain involved in the investigation, so he keeps his personal ties to the case a secret. And with Grissom (William Petersen) back from his sabbatical, it's going to be hard.

Supernatural 9:00 pm  ET

An angry mob outside the jail -- and this is a mob of demons. Nothing good can come of that. Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles) are arrested for breaking into Bela's (Lauren Cohan) apartment to retrieve the Colt. In jail, they free Agent Henricksen (C. Malik Whitfield) from demonic possession, and he prepares to let them go -- until Ruby (Katie Cassidy) reports that a gang of demons is waiting outside in "Jus in Bello."

The Ron Clark Story 10:00 pm  ET

Ho-hum, not another "teacher turns tough kids around" flick. As a matter of fact, it's not. For one thing, Ron Clark, a small-town teacher who shakes up an East Harlem classroom, is so good that Oprah made him her magazine's first man of the year. And how can you resist Matthew Perry -- yes, that Matthew Perry -- in the lead? Believe it or not, he rocks the role. Still need convincing? Randa Haines ("Children of a Lesser God") directed.
